A New Trick

I just finished reading Cesar Milan's new book, "Be The Pack Leader." In his book he tells a story about a dalmation that is surrendered to a fire station in California. The dog is a holy terror but after the fire fighters learn to use "Cesar's Way" the dog becomes apart of the station's family so to speak. Cesar talked about how they taught the dog a trick to show the children that came to the station for tours. I got a kick out of this trick and decided to teach Beck. I thought it would also be fun to show off when we go and visit Mike at the fire station or when Beck and I go to the hospital for pet therapy. Sorry the video isn't upright, but I think you will get the idea :)

Holy. Freakin. Crap. I finally got to see the infamous Beck trick and it's the best trick ever!!

That one even tops Daney with Cheetos on his feet and Nikkia tearing through the house to jump into the bathtub.

Good job to both of you!!

Nikkia will run to get to the bath tub? When I tell Cassius to get in the bathtub I think that is the only time he will actually run to get into his crate.

Yup, it's one of her favorite tricks. Like all good tricks (what do you do when you're on fire? ;) it's grounded in reality.

What do you do when you have a tiny bathroom and two GIANT dogs who insist on supervising all activities? Dog, bathtub, now!

She'd probably lose enthusiasm if I ever used it to give her a bath. Then again, it's been three years since I've been brave enough to wash a husky...inside...in a room I have to occupy naked sometimes. Not enough Drano in the world my friend, and how did wet dog hair get IN the ceiling light anyway?
